How to set up an email signature in Windows Live Mail
Email signatures are an essential part of your business branding and stationery. Design Sense Graphics & Web will provide you with your email signature in two different formats- Microsoft Word and HTML. You will then need to set up the signature in your email program. The best format to use with Windows Live Mail is HTML, and this article outlines how to set it up correctly.
Note: Windows Live Mail is a mail program that can be downloaded for free from the internet.
Open Windows Live and go to the main menu, then select Options > Mail.
Select the Signatures tab, and click New. A new signature will appear in the list. Rename the signature if desired.
Under the Edit Signature heading, check the radio button called File. Click Browse to find the HTML file that was provided to you by Design Sense Graphics & Web saved on your computer.
Note: You need to keep the HTML file saved on your computer in the same location permanently, as Windows Live will refer to it whenever you send an email. If you move or delete the HTML file, the signature will no longer work.
Find the email signature on your hard drive. You will have to change the file type to HTML Files to be able to see it.
Select the file, and click OK, then OK again. Your email signature is now ready to be used!
